Description
Forward: I started in 1979 with a seized, stripped 1916 4 H.P. engine and then my Great Uncle’s 1911 8 H.P. engine. I soon became obsessed with collecting any literature, historic photos, old advertisements, documents and Rally scenes.
Thus after 30 years I have been badly bent this hobby, my friends complained of a hoarder with a wardrobe full of paper work and me one day leaving the material world and not making my material public. I feel compelled to share my good fortune of meeting the right people at the right time and place.
Regrettably, with no priors, I am not a qualified book writer. I do class myself as a dedicated scrounger of material. I apologise for the quality of some items as they are carbon copies of original documents and time takes its toll in many areas. Not just the print.
It is now approximately 80 years since the main engine building era tapered off. Information gathered is to the best of my knowledge and I apologise for any errors, over sights or omissions of facts or contributors.
